Who is Terri Schindler Schiavo?

Who is Terri Schindler Schiavo? Really, who is this person? The news reports all seem to refer to her. I’ve even heard her called that by members of congress. There’s even a website (http://www.terrisfight.net/) the "Terri Schindler-Schiavo Foundation."

Oh, they must be talking about Terri Marie Schiavo. Schindler is her maiden name, while her actual middle name is Marie, but I guess the Republicans felt that they’d get greater political mileage out of using the name Schindler instead. I mean how may people remember the movie Schindler’s List, about a man who saved over 1,000 Jews from the concentration camps of Nazi Germany. And they say it’s not about politics and appeasing the evangelical lobbyists.
